Levanto

No internet yesterday so today is a bit of a catch-up. However, not so much from today as we spent the first part of the morning revisiting a couple of places in the Eze village (so won't add any more photos as overdosed you all with the last posting) and then headed off for Levanto via the Autostrada. The motorway was good (although there were an enormous number of tunnels) and we were glad we were not having to negotiate our way through the very built up cities on the coast below us. I am sure it would have been lovely if you wanted to spend all day doing the trip on the coast but it still took us just over three hours on the "fast track" . We arrived in Levanto early afternoon and after settling in to our accommodation we did our usual explore the area by foot. The temperature is still in the mid-20's around 7 pm - lots of people have been making the most of the late afternoon sunshine to swim, boat but mostly to tan. We are now looking through our material for the Cinque Terre so that we are ready to get started after breakfast tomorrow. It looks like we have a short walk downhill to the station and then its on to the train that runs up and down the five towns that comprise the Cinque Terre. We will let you know tomorrow how much we walked and how much we used the train. I am sure that the "short walk" to the train will seem a lot longer on the way home!!
