Last Day in Prague

Have very much enjoyed our stay in Prague and could happily have stayed for another day or so. We didn't get to do as much as we would have liked and that was partly due to a change in the weather this afternoon which saw fairly steady rain for several hours. Our plans to walk through the park and go to a couple of places a bit further away got amended!!

We did an audio-guided tour of Prague Castle (including St Vitus Cathedral , the Old Royal Palace, the Powder Tower, St George's Basilica) and watched the Changing of the Castle Guard at 12 noon. The place is full of history but its quite difficult to keep all the connections in your head as you walk around and get confronted with yet another new set of facts and figures.

Tomorrow is an early start for us (up at 4.30 am to catch a taxi to the airport and then fly to Munich) and then finding our way out to Dachau and back to the airport again, and fly to Istanbul about 7.30 pm. The early start might get us in practice for being awoken around the same time by the Muezzins calling worshippers to the Mosques in Turkey!

As we arrive at our hotel in Istanbul quite late (?around 11.30 pm) we probably won't update the blog. Also not sure when we next have internet access available as we haven't booked any of the accommodation ourselves (they are part of the tour) so next update could be anytime.
